Produced using a patented 3 layer construction, these socks make the most of the latest available technology in microporous films and fibre weaving techniques to provide a sock of exceptional quality.
Inner Layer: The inner layer is made from a knitted Merino wool based material which is both pleasant to the touch and breathable. This layer allows moisture from the skin to pass through to the outside of the sock but retains heat, thus keeping feet warm and dry. This in turn maximises comfort and helps reduce the chance of blistering.
Membrane Layer: Between the inner and outer layers is the technical part of the sock, the Porelle membrane. This membrane will prevent water passing through it even when the water is under pressure. But it maintains the ability to allow moisture in the form of water vapour (sweat) to pass through. This means feet stay dry even when the outside of the sock is immersed in water. PORELLE® waterproof breathable membranes have been engineered for lamination to create high performance fabrics for a range of different market applications.
